Ugh. I feel so nauseous. Sometimes pet ownership can be really gross. Eugene had gotten a really nasty puncture wound and it just uh, exploded. Ugh. And since he's a monster he won't let me help him with it.
What pisses me off is that I spent money at the vet and they said he didnt have any abscesses. Thanks for taking a real good look, doc. GRRRR. I looked at it earlier and it looked like an abscess to me, but I took her word for it.
Jobs - So far so good. Hot weather making the timing suck. Gunna have to get up early to walk for the rest of the week so I don't burn to a crisp. The job at the Container Store is pretty fantastic but currently pretty limited in hours. However I really like being there, so together its pretty fantastic.
Weekend - Spent a lot of time in Macon seeing people. Was good in a lot of ways. millipedefarm and ulteriormotives's Cate is really cute. On Monday, after work I went to Renfaire to hang out and help Simon and Arik (Sandlar) pack up. Was good.
Missing cat. Eugene has been gone for the better part of a week, either something's happened to him or he's mad I wasn't paying enough attention to him because I've been so horribly busy. : / I knew I should have put the collar back on him after he pulled it off... sigh. My other babies are fine though, he really does/did look for trouble. :(
EDIT: I don't know what to do cause this time, I really don't think he's coming back.
Shortbus is missing. :( He didnt come in at 4AM when i called and was out during the storm this morning. I was able to put my cat door back in so he can come inside, but its going to be super cold tonight and I'm worried.
EDIT: less than 20 minutes after i make the damn entry... at least hes okay, little retard.
Well, on the subject of cats, Eugene keeps walking across my lap and purposely bopping me in the face with his tail :P He is SUCH a mother fucker, I can't even tell you. But I love him a whole lot... he's like my Faithful, he'd be my familiar if i lived in a fantasy world. I imagine what itd be like if it was more socially acceptable to bring him everywhere... I think he'd do very well just following me everywhere. :) He tries to get in the car with me some mornings :) And is almost always where when I pull up in the afternoon, at my car door meowing at me.
Eugene is at the vet; his rabies vaccine expired (like less than a year ago and i know he doesnt have rabies, grr) and so they have to sedate him to check out the abcess on his foot. They wanted to charge me 500 bucks for everything. I said no and they knocked several things off the bill. I am wondering if, like my mom said, theyre starting to try and compensate for the fact that theyre getting a nice shiny new building... perhaps i should find another vet :P
Also, i am exhausted. having cat food in my bathroom is a bad idea; endless munching. and i had to get up early for the vet. and aunt flo should be here any day now.
